Harp classes
From the very beginning, the sound of the harp will enchant you and invite you to learn to play the instrument.
The harp is an instrument that appeals to your imagination. Once children get the opportunity to play the harp, they don’t want to stop. Some adults have dreamed of learning to play the harp for years but have never taken the plunge because they think it is too difficult or too expensive. In practice, this turns out to be better than expected. The harp is an instrument on which the notes are ready to be played, so it sounds good from the start.
I currently teach in the Algarve in the South of Portugal.
Pupils of all levels are welcome, from starter to conservatory level, on both lever and pedal harp. I adapt my teaching style to the student and strive to build a personal relationship with to facilitate the learning process. With patience, I manage to keep the students engaged and thus get pleasure from the harp. That is why you learn the specific harp techniques mainly by playing songs and pieces.
My starting point is that everyone can learn to play the harp; children and adults, men and women, with or without musical experience.
I advise taking weekly lessons when starting the harp lessons. Once the foundation has been laid, it can be switched to once every two weeks in consultation.
Being in the presence of Danielle and the healing sound current she shares is a blessing! I have been lucky to receive private harp lessons from her as well as to have participated in her Meditative harp concerts and I recommend both highly. She is a gifted healer and world-class angelic sound sourceress
Danielle is multidimentional amazing being! Angelic musician, tango teacher, qi gong teacher, yoga teacher… just wow! And all she is offering is from the place of deep connection with the purest energy of the heart. At the same time, her presence is grounded and she is the one that you can relay on. What a gift to this world! Thank you Danielle for being you and sharing all that abundance
Teaching is my passion and I have 35 year long experience teaching the harp. Besides my 2 year long teacher education at the conservatory, I have attended many teacher trainings from yoga, qigong and dance expression to ancient healing practices like reiki and Tibetan singing bowl massages.
As a teacher, I serve people who are yearning for a way to communicate music through the harp. I am dedicated to help students to develop and craft their technique and musicianship and their unique musical personality. I incorporate my body awareness and mindfulness experience in my teaching to help students how to play their instrument in the most comfortable and natural way and to learn them how to easily diagnose trouble spots and build consistent solutions in the music.
